Four motivated students from the International School of Management in Hamburg have taken on a significant research project commissioned by AGHA and AHK Ghana. Their task was to explore how kindergarten staff in Germany can be supported by skilled professionals from Ghana. The focus was on sustainable personnel concepts that foster exchange between Ghana and Germany, benefiting both nations. We appreciate the support of our project partners, who supported us to make this project possible:
The project focuses on five main areas:
- Qualification Standards: Research on current qualification standards for professionals in German kindergartens. If there are regional differences, this task can be focused on a selected region. Also take into consideration different categories / types of professionals.
- Training and Qualification Structures: Analysis of the training and qualification structures for kindergarten personnel or other potentially suitable qualified personnel in Ghana.
- Differences between Germany and Ghana: Evaluation of the differences between qualification standards in Germany and the existing qualifications of Ghanaian professionals.
- Cultural Assessment: Consideration of cultural differences and potential integration challenges.
- Implementation Strategy: Development of recommendations and strategies.
The results were impressive, demonstrating how students can pave the way with innovative ideas and forward-thinking concepts for positive improvements.
