Our Mission<\/h1>\n

To sustainably improve the physical and digital infrastructure of the health care sectors in Africa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It is the African German Health association\u2019s mission to sustainably improve the physical and digital infrastructure of the health sectors in Africa. After all, strong, efficient health care is the basis for realising the human right to the “highest attainable standard of physical and mental health”, as formulated by the United Nations in the Social Covenant as early as 1966. Health is a global development goal – everyone should have access to adequate, comprehensive and affordable health care for all population groups.<\/p>\n

In most developing and emerging countries, however, the majority of people still do not have sufficient access to adequate health care.<\/p>\n

On 25 September 2015, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Sustainability Development Goals, which are to be achieved by 2030.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Specifically, the association would like to contribute to the implementation of this initiative in the following areas:<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

SDG 1<\/h3>\n

End poverty in all its forms everywhere.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/p>\n

SDG 3<\/h3>\n

Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/p>\n

SDG 4<\/h3>\n

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/p>\n

SDG 5<\/h3>\n

Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/p>\n

SDG 8<\/h3>\n

Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/p>\n

SDG 17<\/h3>\n

Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

UN Global Compact<\/h3>\n

With its membership in the UN Global Compact, the association wants to manifest its commitment to these goals.
